The Spirits of the Ages

by Robert J. Romano

September 11th, 2004

And he rose from the ashes of our darkest hour,
The phoenix of truth, the promise of justice, to dry our tears.
He cradled us all, under his wings; our fears subside.
He gathers the spirits of the ages.

From the ashes we rose, the pillars of light, to show our love.
The candles we light; the memories of those will never die.

And when the darkness looms on the horizon,
Brave the winds and let your spirit thrive.
Life is full of tribulation's legacies,
Love is strong and hope never dies.
